Kinds of Auxiliary Views
The name Auxiliary views are given as per the inclined lines in a principal plane. If an inclined plane is noticed in a frontal plane, the auxiliary view is known as Frontal Auxiliary View. If an inclined surface is at the top plane, the auxiliary view will be known as top Auxiliary view.

This view is perpendicular to a principal plane. It makes an inclined view along with two other principal planes, known as Primary Auxiliary View. There are three kinds of Primary Auxiliary View because of the three principal planes such as the following:

Use of Auxiliary Views
When you create engineering drawings, you have to show features in view where the drawings appear their actual size so they are dimensioned. An object is positioned in a way that major features and surfaces are either perpendicular or parallel to a principal plane, Views are selected so that the features are visible in three principal views. The most common views that are drawn are the top, front, right, or left side.
